If you have an AMD x2 CPU, you may need to apply a patch from AMD otherwise the timer can get messed up which confuses some games. If you don't, then just chalk it up to q2admin weirdness :).

i didnt think quake2 would be able to detect 2 cores

As far as I can tell... after I hacked q2admin to remove the kick for "modified client" that would happen when a player's connection got laggy... this "frozen" thing is what q2admin has decided to do instead, now that it can no longer kick.  :(

I'll need to make another pass through the code and try to eradicate this "freezing" thing...
