Gravity Lotto

I was wondering if you could add the lotto stuff to the mutant server as well.  I pretty much hate low grav but I can handle it and some people like it and I bet it would be better on the custom maps anyways, and the other lotto stuff sounds like a lot of fun.  It's good to mix up the game once and awhile.  Maybe instead of it being either the low grav OR the quad, have TWO lotto's going with the same 2hour setting.

Hmmmmmm.... Well we could add the lotto to mutant...  But the grav lotto is all we have right now.  I'd like to add the "uberquad frenzy" lotto, but haven't yet because the lotto script doesn't currently have access to information that the map is *about* to change, only that the map has changed.  And the quad frenzy settings need to be in place right *before* the map changes, so it'll take a lil' hacking...

  Anyways, thanks for all the time and effort.  Oh! and thanks for the mymap function too... that's sweet.... now we just need more maps on mutant to choose from, can we still add maps to the maplist indefinitely?

Yeah, I've seen a few people request maps that would be perfectly reasonable that aren't in the vote set.

I'm considering, for mutant, maybe just adding every frickin' map to the vote list (except supremely obnoxious ones like railgunalley) and see what happens. . . . . I'm not sure if some maps should be on there or not, like, for instance the *64 maps (base64, city64, sewer64) and other massive maps like spogsp1, fusion, etc.  But I guess we could just try it and see what happens... (? ? ?)

The 64 player maps are nice, but they need a lot of players to keep it fast paced. Maybe it could be considered for play if there were a minimum about of players on the server like 15 or something. Just a though.

why not put those 64 player maps on vanilla? they are offical maps, and vanilla always has lots of people

I thought over 9999 looped back to 0... like 10800 is the same as 800... maybe just me?

Well Console, I would love it if you _DID_ put every map on there, if not in the rotation but made it so someone could "mymap" it. I posted something like this in another topipc before I found this one

I believe it rolls over after 32767.  Actually 32768 rolls over to "max negative" gravity apparently.

(For the coder geeks: This would seem to be in keeping with the behavior of a signed 16-bit integer in two's complement representation.  )

Hehe I answered you there already too...  Most all the server maps are available on mutant via 'mymap' these days.  (And yes, it spams the hell out of your console if you just type 'mymap' to get the maplist.  )
