Which Stock DM map is the Worst?

i cant really vote.. i enjoy all of the maps depending on my mood

dm1.

its so over played. and why? becasue its the 1st map? if dm4 was called dm1 would that be the most over played map in q2 history??? then you get this 'if you're not good on dm1 you're not good at q2' attitude. the only reason some people don't seem so good at dm1 is because their far more versatile players and can play multiple maps when compared to the guy that plays on dm1 95% of the time he plays q2. May as well call quake2 - The Edge.

I can hold my own on the map but ya, I'll get a gapping asshole by a religious dm1 player. try playing a new map ya lame ass.

My list favorite to hated: dm8, dm2, dm5, dm3, dm7, dm6, dm4, dm1

The only one I don't like is dm4.  Its the only one of the 8 maps not used in the Nations Death Match League.  Every time it comes up in ffa servers I feel like disconnecting.  It seems to be missing the "intensity" of the other maps, possibly due to the sprawling hallways.

Pertaining to dm4, it doesnt help when some people are dueling with rox/chain/ssg or watever, and some random newb (like myself) could just come in and spam a bfg for ez killz.  I think if you placed a rocket launcher at the bfg, things would be a lot more interesting.

WARNING my posts can instantly put you to sleep and are for the underskilled 

as with any map/situation the players fall in order of their skill on the score screen (usually) (if they are trying)

the real skill revealing maps are dm1, then dm8, then dm2  the least of which is dm7

dm4  has more problems then other maps but there still is some great dynamic play there and enough room like dm8 to get a weapon to unseat the power positions

         there should have been an invulnerability through the lower water tube, the quad  exit should have been to under lift to ssg where the second ladder to rail room was,                                         and  the ladder out of chaingun room should have been a ramp   -- just a loose cohesion of ideas but then so is dm4

btw every map has faults and expoitations, that said, dm4 is not so bad

my list of  fav to least   dm5,dm8,masturbation,dm1,dm6,dm3,dm4,dm2,dm7

 [q2dm1 (like a woman) is of course the undeniable best map ever -  if they only built a lifesize replica     i wouldnt know what to do with that either]

why dm5?   you can overpower anyone, disparate parts, vulnerable campers, utilizes rg,rl,ssg,chain duels

i suck so i dont play to win but play against players and situations (such as camping) its all about having a few good shots/ exchanges which dm7 has the least of

dm7 obviously was changed -has two rocket launchers - the upper should be ssg where armour under walkway(thru acid) should be quad
        ssg should be rail (camp those ladders) second gl should be above other ladder(hyperblaster side), with bfg on platform above main room through crawl way from top
        would still be unskilled and boring  less exciting

good map ideas there.  wish i was a mapper and could make them happen for you.  Especially the DM7 ideas.  i love mods of the stock dm maps better then most custom maps, and there are some great ideas there.
