It would seem that some avatars get stretched out and a little scroll bar on them.  Is there some way to remedy this.

My avatar is only supposed to be 50x63

Howdy!

I believe if you choose to upload your avatar, rather than using an external link, it wouldn't get stretched out. 

I think external links (for avatars) have their image size properties forced to 128x128 in the HTML.  So the browser is doing the scaling.  Whereas, uploaded images are scaled proportionately (if necessary) to fit within 128x128.
