What mouse are you using heading into 2022?

would be interested to know your current mouse of choice, or are you considering a new mouse in the new year?
I was using a deathadder 2013 for many years until it started having the dreaded double click problem and could not be fixed. by this stage razor had stopped supporting this model in the new razor synapse which was very disappointing, So getting another deathadder was out of the question.
So for the last little while i have been using a standard $10 logitech mouse certainly not designed for gaming by any means but it has got me by, i had no motivation to seek a new mouse until I started having issues with the jump button Which has no bought me to looking for a decent mouse.
After reading many many reviews, watching youtube reviews i narrowed the field down to 4 choices, especially if you dont want to spend a small fortune on a mouse. So the narrowed field was....
Logitech G203 Lightsync - Can be had for around $40
Razor viper mini - Around $40 - $70
Glorious O model - Around $50
Cooler Master MasterMouse MM710 - Around $50
After watching many video reviews It then came down to 2 choices, the viper mini and the G203.
I saw the viper mini on amazon for $39 brand new on sale, And I couldnt pass that up, As I have had a razor mouse before i know the quality is there. Very good deal for a very decent mouse.

Started with a Razer Deathadder V2.
Now I use Zy's Rail - xtrfy - Mz1
And many, many Quake years ago, I used a Microsoft Intellimouse 1.1 which was one of the best mice I ever used playing quake.

Using a cheapo Razer Deathadder Essential. Think I paid about 19.99 for it a year ago. Looking around online now, I'm seeing prices like 29.99, which is too much in my opinion (yay for inflation, lets go brandon). I haven't cracked it open to see the quality of the guts inside, but from what I've heard, it's nothing special. A plain jane 6400 dpi red laser optical mouse, pretty much the same thing you could get from lots of other mouse makers.
Edit: Hmm... seeing them "on sale" for 1999 on Amazon right now, listed as 2999 regular.
I mention the guts because... before, I was using a Razer Deathadder 2013, which I dropped a ridiculous 110 bucks for back in 2013. It had some kinda special copper foil contact buttons and complicated internals, which I guess were supposed to be "better" than other mice, which is what the price was all about. But when I compare aiming performance of the old one vs the new cheapo "Deathadder Essential" - NO NOTICABLE DIFFERENCE.
On my new machine, I'm using the RGB iBuypower mouse that came with my pre-built iBuypower system. It seems to work well enough. I haven't found a reliable way to control it's colored lights yet. (The tower fans have a dedicated button, the keyboard has a special key combo that cycles through the colors, but the mouse does WHATEVER) Haven't really tried any gaming on this box yet other than Q2, which kinda sucked due to the monitor, which is a really good monitor for video and seeing pictures with vivid colors, it's just the wrong panel type for playing shooter games with. Maybe sometime after Xmas I'll finally get a proper TN panel monitor. If this ibuypower mouse aint up to snuff, I'll just get another Razer Deathadder Essential.
Really wish I could find another good invisible laser mouse like the old Logitech LS-1 I used to have back in 2009. That was the best mouse I ever had. Dirt cheap at about 15 bucks, no bright laser lighting up the desk, and it tracked on reflective laminated surfaces flawlessly. That was when the whole "gaming mouse" scam started. Back then you could get a good corded laser mouse for cheap. Suddenly, everyone started branding them as "gaming mice", added a couple extra buttons, and jacked the prices up 50 dollars or more.

I was using a Logitec M705 and switched to a Corsair Harpoon. Mouse fits my hand better and seems to have much better double click response, although the old mouse could have been worn tfo.

I don't worship the devil. Jesus is Lord, friend. He died for your sins. He will forgive you if you just ask.
