Also be aware of who you take advice from if referencing any of this thread before a mouse purchase. Quake2 has a lot of vocal FFA players who aren't really any good at the game and share poor information. Punk probably has the best aim out of anyone who has commented in this thread IMO.

Ah, was gonna go pull up the literal hundreds of screenshots I have destroying alpha, and the rare few demos where foc actually played me and got absolutely destroyed when I was still new to Q2. Have well over 2000 screenshots of wins in just my rails folder alone. My TDM one is almost as equally as ridiculous. Not worth the effort. If anyone is stupid enough to think that foc or alpha are any good at the game then that is their problem. Don't think quadz would appreciate the hijacking of a thread to prove a point on people who make baseless claims.

I simply posted good information about mice as I tend to help a lot of new players out with improving at fps games and have had many conversations about that stuff to hear thoughts from players that completely eclipse anyone in the Q2 community currently. If you don't want to take my advice, then don't. Your loss.

I really don't think most of the people in this thread have any idea what they are talking about when it comes to mice. I would not like less informed players or some one who randomly stumbles on this thread to take bad advice.

Specifically at foc though: if you are going to say you can figure it out then be a fucking adult and figure it out instead of bitching like a little kid that you don't know how shit works and can't google it to figure it out.

The harsh truth...for vae anyways is that we are all shit players compared to players that have been and gone through the years. Both in europe and USA etc. We are all experienced players with different skill levels but in a 20yo game who really gives a shit now?

Vae is the type of guy who probably sits there masturbating at the fact he is the only player really left who plays duel against players who primarily play dm and thinks he is the top of the crop in a 20yo game. I bet if players like adren, scoob, dahang came back for a few games they would still push your shit in and make your asshole so raw you would go back to pulling cables from the back of your PC

Anyways back to the topic. it was a gripe about a mouse. The razor deathadder is still actually a good mouse. Hoever if q2 is the only multiplayer game you are playing online you don't need to spend anything over $60 for something decent.

In my experience using the deathadder, It's a good mouse however the new synapse is absolute dogshit. They really dropped the ball on it. Should have just left it alone. I Actually got onto their website and contact page because I was having major issues with the updated synapse, When I converted to windows 10 the deathadder 2013 wasn't even recognized by the new synapse. I got zero reply, that was 6 months ago. I got onto their facebook page and sent a message also months ago and still no reply. Very dissapointed especially when you pay good money for a product.

As for Synapse and Razer... I dunno if the new Synapse recognizes the 2013 mouse. The new Synapse has the same settings for mouse lights, light breathing, blinking speed, all the shit the old one did. But it also has some kinda extra stuff that helps control backlighting on displays and lighting on keyboards/peripherals... or something like that, I didn't look too closely at it. But it definitely installs some extra shit that records your internet browsing. There's really no reason to register an acct with Synapse though because it gives you the option to use it as a "guest" which will still allow you to tweak the mouse lighting settings and the sensitivity and progressive acceleration settings, which I think is another new addition from the last version (useless for my purposes). I haven't looked into deleting whatever the browser shit is. I have Synapse and all related shit closed, and it uses the same settings regardless of synapse being up and running. It DOES start it up again if you restart your machine though. I leave mine up 24/7. So at some point I gotta set it all to NOT start on startup or just delete it all.
