Yahooo !!!! Spawn protection GONE for DM Server

My goodness, no I don't need to Spawn Kill to get Frags. Mabey I did when I was a newb. But I haven't been a newb for years. And yes it was frustrating to get spawn fragged when I was a newb. But it was something I could do just as easily as they could. The problem was retaining the camp. Do I like Spawn Camping ??? Sometimes, somtimes not. Do I have a problem being spawn camped ??? Sometimes, but atleast I can look forward to diggin that mole out. Will I spawn Camp ??? If it suits me at the time. Will I grab a SSG at hunt people down ??? If it suits me at the time. Will I grab a Rocket Launcher and run around shooting at anything that moves??? If it suits me at the time. I'm open to all options, quads, BFGs, Spawn Frags, I'm open to it all. They all have thier good points and bad points. Do I hate being hit with quads and BFGs ??? Somtimes yes. Should it be removed from the game??? NO !!! I can use it just as well as they can. Look, all I know is all the DM servers i've been on over the years, it just seems the stock ones seem to always have more players. And thats all I want, more people on the DM Server, more targets to shoot at. And if all this has raised awareness and it gets more people on it, then Mission Accomplished !!!

My goodness indeed, it's not just your opnion that counts. Hey man it's all good and I hope you're right. 
But by saying "Do I have a problem being spawn camped? Sometimes, but at least I can look forward to diggin that mole out." you seem only concerned about the crouched-behind-the-pad-campers. While I'm more concerned about lame tripple spawns in a row by 'better' players. I guess we'll just have to see how it turns out...

I agree with whoever said quad spawns too fast.. thats why quake3 and quake4 upped the time to 2 minutes instead of 1 and it works great imo.. if there was a way to make the spawn time to 2 minutes for quake2 that would be great, but i dont think there is.. i think if everyone who played in DM would start looking at the clock and going to quad every minute the games will be even more interesting to see whos the last man standing at quad area when it spawns. Everytime I play I'm the ONLY one going for quad and it isn't challenging.. but it is fun rackin up 25 frags in a couple minutes
