Example: 39:15 -- "...understand the 3D design of the level -- by making them come through it multiple times, is from Zelda, actually. Because, at the beginning of Zelda 1 on the NES, the first area that you start in, has these bushes that--later--you get a lantern that you can throw fire with: And when you burn down those bushes, there's a dungeon under it! And that dungeon was in the first room of the game! And to me I was like, wow, that's really cool how they re-used the original area. So I always try and do that when I'm designing: how do I maximize my design by re-using it multiple times in different ways?"

I don't care WHO coined the term and how THEY say it should be pronounced, it ain't right and I ain't gonna do it. There are rules in the english language and we all gotta live by 'em, even Adrian Carmack. And one of 'em is that when G is followed I and B, it says guh guh guh gib. If it were supposed to be pronounced juh juh juh jib, it'd have a J in it at the beginning. There's already a handful of words pronounced juh juh juh jib that mean something on their own, just google it (not "joojle it").

Ok now, that's just gibberish.

Problem is that the modern English language, moreso than other languages, has slightly become a mutt language that incorporates the pronunciation rules and spelling rules of other languages for various words based on their origins. This is why two words with similar spellings can sound so different. One may have origins in the old English tongue, while another might have older Latin origins.

And because of this... it's CLEARLY pronounced guh guh GIB. This fish crap is just a bunch of heresy against good King George on the same level as Ebonics. How dare ye.
