Back to basics...

So I've been actively playing quite a bit lately and wanted to get back into TDM/Duel possibly but with that I'm going to need some practice.   I've been out of the loop quite a bit so I dunno who even plays TDM that would be actual helpful practice (not a 4040404 to 0 crush).  Anyone out there?

join up in #nadl or #tastyspleen like you used to on occasion, if you want a typical tdmer of whatever skill level to have a few matches with, it's about the best option there is for something like that i'd think.

Hey, thanks for the info people.   I'll be on frequently, usually afternoons, but with work being how it is who knows.  Will be sporadic, but I will be on!

I played a bit with Optica on mutant, either he's gotten really decent or I've slumped that bad.    Seemed like a solid player.

optica has never been too bad, just not polished cause he only plays ffa


anyway...

random would probably be your best bet for a nice 1v1 where you won't get hammered, ex is still around and might not cry too much...

that railer scoobydoo has been playing a lot as higgins, and is improving

verd is around a lot and isn't bad on dm1 if you can get him to duel

if you want to noob stomp, hit up 2dum or nida (i'm not sure which one is more annoying...)

fap/xcr is also usually around late at night

booya has been dueling a bit of rdm2, so that might be fun for ya

more of a challenge, fader is usually around on jump... haunted trolls all day but would play if asked... slugs shows up a lot... saw flarez on last night... i'm usually around late... barton shows up pretty often... and fla is good for a duel most the time

beyond that, will just have to play em as they come probably more, i just can't think of any that are "active" off the top of my head to get 1v1s with

I appreciate the run down vae, I'll def be looking for these people for games.  I'm willing to bet Haunted, Fader, You, Barton, Flarez and Fla would probably not have much fun dueling me, but I'd play a few either way.

I agree with haunted andVvae.

I pretty much duel anyone who will play me cuz there is no one left to play. NADL dudes rarely play these besides Fader and I, and ofc Vae is the only good random pub player.

The problem is a lot of last remaining players won't play vs me cuz they lose badly. Soft egos me thinks. The skill level for pub TDM and duel right now is much lower than when I started to play and in generally, so it is the best time to get into those mods without getting raped in all games.

Something odd,  I was testing out my headphones and shooting rockets at walls then turning to see how if audio would give a more prevalent sound according to which side it happened on.   The explosions seem to resonate equally in both ears, no matter where the explosions are coming from.   I remember when I used to play, I could fire a rocket at a wall and hear it either on one and faintly the other depending on which side the blast came from.   Is there some command I'm missing that enables/disables this?
