looks like http://antich.at is currently down. What is the actual name of the anticheat i need to install so i can google search that by name? is it hosted for download on tastyspleen?

thanks alpha... i had felt so guilty whenever i'd join a game being in violation n' all that

though, through my terrible play, i'm certain NO one was concerned that I was cheating!  :D :D lol

I don't have r1q2, and I've placed the anticheat.dll in two directories. I'm not sure which is correct, but I imagine neither, since the servers I played on yesterday failed to recognize the .dll.

C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\quake 2\
C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\quake 2\baseq2

Are neither correct?

I think the quake2 folder is the right one,  but without a client that uses AC it wont matter.

need r1q2 or aprq2,  there are others but I forget which ones.

r1q2, aprq2, and versions of egl.  All info is on www.r1ch.net

It does not work with stock Q2.

I like a lot of the features that aprq2 has that aren't present in r1q2. However though, r1q2 > aprq2 if that loophole about AC with aprq2 is true.
