Q2Pro Problems

Unless I'm missing something important here, Q2Pro seems to completely suck at saving half of my cvars to the q2config.cfg. This especially applies to cl_rail* vars and keybinds (it kept my keybinds, but added second keys to the original binds even after i cleared everything at the very beginning). I know how to 'cfg' very well and I am well aware of the fact that i can autoexec my way out of this. But the question is: is this really necessary? I mean just when I thought I found a perfect client...

P.S. I'm really hoping that it's just me and that I'm doing something wrong. :help:  :help:  :help:

P.P.S. I used 3.20 and r1q2 the whole time before this.

P.P.P.S. OK... understatement... Q2Pro is COMPLETELY fucked. The dynamic lights and animated textures don't work. The water texture is too bright and shit regarding the gamma/brightness is iffy. Did skuller rewrite the GL renderer or something? This is maaaaddneesssssssssss!!!

q2pro is fine... as far as not saving your cvars to the q2 config, just make an autoexec... no third party client should actually edit the base config file

no third party client should actually edit the base config file

it doesn't need to. q2pro creates a fresh q2config.cfg to put all of it's stuff there, as opposed to editing the config.cfg (original file name). however, after going through the trouble of create a separate, one-of-a-kind config file, it doesn't take advantage of it by adding its own cvars in  :|

and never mind the config anymore. i turned a brighter shade of red when i found out about the fact that skuller didn't add half of the renderer functions into what is appearantly a modified/remade ref_gl that you are forced to use (or he simply took the dynamic lighting and animated textures out?)
perhaps there are cvars to allow me to actually see my blaster bolts again (can't see them in dark corners w/o dynamic lights)? same goes for rockets.

is q2pro even complete yet?  :exqueezeme:

well I just read a russian quake2 forum. looks like skuller took out the dynamic lighting on purpose :(
