WebGL Quake 2

Anyone try this out? I haven't since I refuse to upgrade my Firefox to 4.0. It seems to work though:

Tried it on the latest version of Chrome. It takes a while to bootup and once in-game feels a little 'rough around the edges'.
But hey, it's q2 running on the web. Pretty neat.

How long did you wait before closing out of the page? It took mine awhile. Also try updating your video drivers and browser(s). If all else fails, fuck it, It sucks anyways.

Newest version, I went to eat and came back screen was black still.  I just wanted to know if it can play online as in, example, go to a library and connect to tastyspleen from there.

I haven't tried it myself but I saw my friend playing single player with it. I assume it works online as well but it would be fun to test this. Maybe I'll try it on chrome cuz I still don't wanna update my Firefox (I'm on 3.6.10).

Well, I finally tried out this thing. Chrome install was quick and relatively painless.

From the looks of it, it's just a tech demo. Copied this from the console from the WebGL Q2 client:

Even though the website says that you can play multiplayer, you cannot. It's impossible to correctly type in server ports (can't type in colons as the shift/caps lock button doesn't function :X). Also, if you use the menu to play multiplayer, it just connects you to your own ip.

That said, the demo level works but there are some errors. Most apparent are missing models such as enemy models. :X

I realized I can't connect to other servers because this is a demo version of quake 2.
