Got me this great computer but some of the colors are off just in the quake2 game the walls are red ice and snow are blue I had the same trouble with my other one I tweak something in the autotext file but I can't rember vwhat

You're using the new 19" monitor, connected to the DVI video port, correct?
Did it do this the very first time you entered Quake 2? The reason I ask is I tested the computer out on-line and didn't experience what you're describing.
Did this occur after making some changes to the configuration?

Since you state that it only happens in Quake 2, I must assume it's not a loose video cable causing a color shift.

yes it started as sone as I went into quakie2 I only got the monitor hook up with one cable the blue one do I need tohook up the white one to ?

Do not plug in the blue one. That is a standard VGA connection. You want the DVI white connection. It is the BIGGER connector that plugs into the video card, next to the wireless N adapter in the adjacent slot.

What monitor is it? There may be a button that switches to the other channel to receive the signal.

Turn the computer off. Disconnect the blue VGA cable from the monitor and computer completely. You don't need it at all.

With power still off, connect the DVI cable (which I believe was connected to the monitor when I shipped it) to the computer and monitor.

Turn power on. You should see video signal at this point.

Report back if you're still having issues.

If you're certain you've disconnected the blue VGA cables from the computer and the monitor and you've connected the bigger white DVI cable, and you're still not getting any signal, then you should doublecheck the connections. If you're certain they're on snug and still have no signal, you'll need someone to look at the computer. I'd say there is a slight possiblity that the video card came loose from it's slot in the computer, but I seriosly doubt it.

I do not know what you mean by "how do I get it off center harness". Get what off center harness? If you're asking how to disconnect a video cable, they unscrew with your fingers, unless they're on too tight.

C'mon now. You're not stupid at all. I should have sent you more specific instructions on setup. It hadn't occurred to me that you were only familiar with VGA monitor connections, so it's only natural that you believed that was the way to connect the monitor.

So everything is working now? You see the video screen and the colors in the game are as they should be? I hope that's what you mean!

"...i would like to use right" I think you are referring to the "handedness" setting...

Type: Toggle
Default: 0

Description: Toggle the handedness of the player.
Values:
0 - Gun on the right and shots from the right.
1 - Gun on the left and shots from the left.
2 - No gun and shots from the center.

So, for right handedness, you would enter hand 0 in the console. You can also change this setting through the options menu.

Let me know if you are having any other issues. We'll knock'em out one by one.
