need config help

I had some nice settings for performance, graphics etc in config file, then decided to play around and i naffed things up. So now i'm looking for all the little handy tweaks to improve graphics and whatever. I'm using APRQ2 and i believe theres some intresting extras for it.

oh 1 more thing, with aprq2 if i type them in the console will they be auto saved in the config file or do i put em straight in there.

Its almost a necessity to put any config changes directly into the config and save it.  For reasons i have yet to figure out, the game saves changes in completely random and not very often intervals.

Normally, naming your config autoexec will help things too, but i am not sure how aprq2 acts yet, im just using it for the first time tonight.

I recommend naming it something like gaz.cfg,  that way quake will never change it for sure
once you have that and in yer baseq2 folder it's     exec gaz.cfg

I'll get back on tweeks..   but look for quake 2 console commands....   not a bad idea to
read what all of them are and do.    Alot are not even things you need to worry about.
Find a good list that has very detailed explanations   hell..  I can do at least that for ya
