Bad packet loss to texas server only

Ok so... i been having some REALLY bad packet loss to texas :/ and i am just a player that cannot play under those conditions...

I ran a tracert to tastyspleen.net and i have a list of ip's from my route that gos up through seattle and across cali and then down to texas

i went through and pinged all of these ip's individually several times (at least 5) and i noticed small ping spikes starting very early, but nothing more than like 10ms UNTIL #8 where i was seeing ping spikes in excess of 100ms, would anyone help me at least pin down which server is causing my packet loss? :/ might be able to call em up and tell them they need a restart or to replace a line... cause i am really frustrated with this, no one will play on the west tdm server, and i hate the ping i get to the east, so texas is the best solution and for right now its unplayable

I've been seeing an increase in my ping in the evenings that starts somewhere around my second hop once im at theplanet. my normally 48 ping is coming back consistently shitty and around 80-90 to the TX box.

perhaps these two occurences have something in common..

I recommend running lots of traceroutes on your end.  (Could also try pathping in windows, which, if it works, can be helpful.)

seems like an inaccurate representation 4% compared to the netgraph in game... >.< real time applications are so much better at testing stuff like this

weird... it may be a coincidence, but i'm also experiencing packet loss in these days on the railz and irtdm servers. This has been happening in the last few days.. and, curiously, the packet lost is not constant, sometimes is more consistent, and maybe just a map later it almost disappear, as you can see in these screenshots i took on the railz server few days ago:

My ping is not affected by that, just red spikes in netgraph (and subsequent lags) while in the game.

irtdm is on the same subnet as mutant and railz, but it isnt the exact same ip, makes me think even more that the problem rests with theplanet.com's hosting network in texas causing the problem, more people have been having the same problem as you with inconsistent packet loss rather than consistent packet loss like me and onphone...

ok FAIL, this is tourney3 this morning :/ guess comcast gets a complaint also...

but i do still believe that theplanet is causing some issues for the texas servers
