just remember that one single shard, one single tiny health, and you can survive one rail

This is a great point for new players to take into account.

If someone's loaded up with armor and weapons already and they see you spawn and miss the shot, they are going to chase you to try to get it in because you are relatively worthless with only a blaster in hand.

If you don't think in this situation, you can run around for minutes dodging their shots and picking up weapons and ammo, just to die to one slug like you're fresh off the spawnpad. I'm not saying you shouldn't charge for a weapon if it's just sitting there, but in some cases that's a bad idea to do before getting at least a bit of armor (if they dropped the weapon, or its the one you just lost when you died then there is a good chance that they're sitting nearby waiting to plug you the second you try to pick it up)

Get at least an armor shard or a stimpack first and you will make it that much farther, and hopefully get some breathing room to mount a comeback.

DM maps,  vs a player who knows the spawns REALLY WELL....

   After you get railed,   wait a sec or two till the player stops waiting for respawn. 
 If you don't immediately respawn they might think you spawned somewhere further away they couldn't hear.
 When they start moving again, or are out of site respawn. 

  Works good on edge, with so many spawns in sight of the middle arena.



Can't stop it,  BTW, just a part of the game.
 Fun part too,  I've seen people fire 2 rockets,  1 for the kill and the other at a spawn for the respawn kill,  both hit.

Player spawning makes sounds? I've never been able to hear it. All I can hear is the sound of weapons firing--it drowns out everything else. Same as I can't hear people picking things up, maybe I've got a pak that's got really loud weapon fire sounds or something....

Try it on your own server,  the default is kinda a bubbly teleport sound.


I had a pak that put a segment of Kashmir by Led Zep for the spawn sound,  really annoying
