New: Quake2 RPG Mod: Adaption

Introduction:
Getting better with coding so I took the challenge to create an RPG mod for Quake2 and it seems to work pretty well. :)
Like all RPGs you need to level up your character to grow stronger and access special features. In this mod you gain levels by gaining resistance to certain damages. When you crater too many times, you gain resistance against falling damage, or when you swim too long in lava you gain resistance against lava damage. Your weapons will also deal more damage when you deal enough damage to other players. If you take alot of damage, you'll gain levels in defense and reduce the damage taken, and so on.

When a player dies there's a big chance it will drop a herb. Herbs are used to make potions to level up certain skills like poison, which will poison your enemy and deal x damage per second untill he picks up health.

Your characters get saved so don't worry if you want to take a break and come back later.

Here's a list of the skills that are currently done:

Skill list:
Max health:
Spawn with more health. Trained by drinking rebirth potions. Max level: 40

Strength:
Deal more damage. Trained by damaging foes: Max level: 90

Defense:
Take more damage. Trained by taking damage from foes. Max level: 90

Herblore:
Create potions. Trained by...creating potions. Max level: 50

Poison:
Deal damage to your foe to poison him, dealing x damage per second. Trained by drinking poison potions. Max level: 30.

Luck:
Increase overall chances of rare herb drops and poison. Trained by making 2fers (2 kills with 1 shot). Max level: 30.

Zombie:
Gain spawn invulnerability, +0.1 seconds per zombie level. Trained by dieing. Max level: 50.

Magma skin:
Take less damage from lava. Trained by swimming in lava. Max level: 20.

Toxic skin:
Take less damage from slime. Trained by swimming in slime. Max level: 20.

Human gills:
Take less damage from drowning. Trained by drowning. Max level: 20.

Gravity resist:
Take less damage from falling. Trained by falling (must damage). Max level: 20.

Here's a list of all the herbs:

Herb list:
Healthy herb:
Common, used to make rebirth potions (levels up the spawning health skill).

Poisonous herb:

Common, used to make poison potions (levels up the poison skill). Requires a herblore level of 3 to pick up.

New herb:
Uncommon, used to make health regen potions (levels up the health regen skill*). Requires a herblore level of 8 to pick up.

Diamond herb:
Uncommon, used to make armor regen potions (levels up the armor regen skill*). Requires a herblore level of 14 to pick up.

Sapphire herb:
Rare, used to make warrior potions (levels up the quad fury skill*). Requires a herblore level of 22 to pick up.

Blood herb:

Rare, used to make immortal potions (levels up immortal fury skill*). Requires a herblore level of 30 to pick up.

Sinister herb:
Very rare, used to make vampire potions (levels up the vampire skill*). Requires a herblore level of 45 to pick up.

Console commands:
A few commands that are usefull:

"cmd brew" - used to brew potions.

"cmd stats" - used to check your stats.

"cmd prog" - used to check out how much % is left to level up a certain skill.

Killing spree:
Killing more than 6 players in a row will enter you in a killing spree mode. If you get a killing spree that's 20 or more will give you certain titles. The titles will show up when you talk. It will look like this:

Sergeant decino: lolololoolol

There are 9 titles in total.

Server:
The mod is not done yet, this is a beta test to see if everything levels too fast or too slow. I'm planning to add more stuff. You can see the todo list at the bottom of this post.

Todo list:
Vampire:
Steal enemy health by damaging. Trained by drinking vampire potions (level 50 herblore!). Max level: 20.

Jetpack:
Gain a little bit of flight. Trained by jumping. Max level: 50.

Extra grenade:
Throw an extra grenade (while holding any weapon). Trained by throwing grenades (weapon). Max level: 10.

Bloody wrist:
Use a command to hurt yourself badly, but gain ammo for it. Trained by suiciding. Max level: 30.

Teleport:
Teleport to random deathmatch pads. Trained by telefragging enemies. Max level: 20.

Need testers to see if you level up too fast or see if it crashes etc. Feedback is appreciated.
I've also added new skills to level up. Some skills can't be used yet, because they can not be trained.

The skills are:
Vampire,
Jetpack,
Bloody wrist,
Teleportation.

But stay tuned, I'll work on those skills soon.

I enjoy it, feedback:

As discussed on server, the brewing is a pain in the ass atm. I just got to do poison potions too, and, well, fuck that. reopening brew every time scrolling to poison and then closing :< muy failo!

I also thought the herbs would be an issue because u were only droppin poison herbs and I couldnt get any healthy herbs to finish herblore to 5 so.. but it worked out in the end

Thanks, I've made a few changes. Monsters will spawn when there are no players in the server to keep yourself busy while waiting for other players. I removed the 'close the menu after brewing'. Brewing may be confusing now. The values won't update when you brew now...gotta fix that soon.

Server is running, had a fun match yesterday, need moar!
