Veleno Aluminum Guitars

Back in the mid-70s I saw a British band called the Climax Blues Band. They were pretty good live. What caught my attention was the guitar of their main guitar player - Peter Haycock. It had a mirror like surface that would reflect light back to the audience like a blazing searchlight. The tone was pretty nice too. For years I thought it was a DanElectro, but now know it was a Veleno. They were machined from solid billets of aluminum and very few were made. You can hear this guitar on their FM - Live album. Listen particularly to the cut "So Many Roads". Really nice rock/blues tone with great sustain. I couldn't find that version by them on Youtube. Only this one which is low quality:

Here's some more info on the guitar. It's surprising how electric guitars can be made out of non-wood materials and still work.
