hit a slump in d3 until pvp is out and i have a reason to continue farming and gear up the last couple classes at 60...d2 gameplay might be a little meh, but it might still be worth it to have somethin to play torchlight 2 should be out soon but the atmosphere won't be as good as the diablo gamesits like 20$ for it and the expansion if i want it... wondering what you guys think on if its worth it or not
i probably have a 1% chance of ever winning in duel against you
yea that's what happens when you ask for an opinion on a public forum. at least i don't insult right out of the gates like you do to everyone else.
and get 2 cd keys.
Definately get it,and I bet you can get it cheaper too. Unlike the Third, you can experiment with different builds of the same 5 character classes ,and whole philoophies devoted on what sort of ability one should assign those precious 1point per level selection. The loot is WAY more interesting, and you find set items and uniques far more readily than you do in Diablo 3,a failing point in my opinion. Why must I trudge all the way to INferno to get "good" gear? You appreciate a good toy Now when you're low level and crowds of anything are a problem. And the few Uniques I've stumbled across had unrandom powers and their own artwork so it Looked like you were using it. Someone Created them by hand and not just rolled up a bunch of stats with a random subroutine. You get those too in Diablo 2,and from far bigger lists. And you'll understand the frenzy to cash in on the absurd sales of these make believe items from e-bay auctions that has propelled Diablo 3. Live money auctions. Why not?And of course people are farming for virtual gold, and trying to nudge Blizzard out of a few dollars. I can see making gold a more important part of the game was a good move and adds a subtle dynamic to the process, but it falls apart like a house of cards when you "need" these items to play in the toughest levels, not merely stumble across one in trying to do it on your own. The multiplayer is still thriving, and they have to reset the Hardcore ladder every year or so (but I'm only assuming since I play solo only). Also, once you've sampled the vanilla game for a time, you can try out a few of the mods people have done in the past decade...you can find them here:http://phrozenkeep.hugelaser.com/I play the Eastern sun one and recommend it highly. For one it allows the free reassigning of points in your abilities,so you can experiment with builds. And it has all the crafting one could desire...here is its wiki: http://homepage3.nifty.com/miyoshino/es/es3top.htm and it manages to infuse the game with new life in importing all the diablo 1 monsters, having special areas that are super hard but super loot can be taken by the brave. And instead of some Auction house, there is a simple gambling system where buying a type of item and hoping it turns out to be a powerful one. Massive inventory space and tons of widgets to build your character from. Its why people have been playing it for a decade.
I don't think you got far enough into d3 to see the end game gear
