It won't load......of all the maps I encounter, this seems like the only one to just die.  I think I have joined it once or twice with no problem but all other times I lock up.    Don't remember the error codes  I'll write them down.

Hmm, strange.    Have you tried deleting kod6.bsp from your baseq2/maps folder and let it download again from the server?    It's a pretty simple map, just sort of a simplistic parking garage structure with railguns.
