Believe it or not those weird sounds are a simple push with the tremolo/whammy bar or effects...it sounds pretty cool though. I didn't recognize it until they did it a bunch though bc I don't normally use it. I ran my whammy bar through a press one too many times to switch guitars, need a new one.  But, there are other ways to make sounds like that too so i could be wrong.

Thanks for the reply, never heard it used so much in a song like that before (or I have and never noticed it).  Seemed real unique to use the way they did so I thought id ask     If you have any examples of it in other songs id be up for a listen, but off the top of my head I can't think of any songs that use it like that.
