Playing today on xquake, freeze up for a second and this comes up, never have I seen this b4, anyone know what this is??????

I've gotten that message b4 husker...I belive it's the server sending info that is just a few seconds too old...hence the lockup for a second.Not sure but thats my theory.

Well I'm not sure what those eeror messages were about but as stated on a thread elsewhere, Something is going on with the server. I'm lagging alot as well. Usually my lag consist of real short jumps and pauses. They cause me to mis-fire with my rail & often are to blame fro most of my deaths lol. Every so often it will hang for a sec but it is usually just small sessions of jumps and pauses.
I was wondering if it was on my side but like I said elsewhere, this is the only server I really have this problem on. I play on Redmonds Server (admined by my buddy Pepp5) and i get about a 125 ping there and get far less lag there than I do with my 35 ping on Xquake. I get like a 40 ping at Kansas and get no lag there. Wonder what it could be?

you guys should do a traceroute to xquake and see whats up
use a visual one so you can see where the problem lies. usually i have probs right at a few of internet americas border routers. its a clean route till it hits there and jumps up to about 275ms+ ha but lately i think its server side. a few of us have that neotrace which is pretty good old program

Ok, I can try to explain what this means...
"Delta parse_entities too old." - the cl parse entities function is not getting up to date data from the server. parse entities handles all objects that it has to read from the game such as players weapons projectiles, ect.
"oldnum != newnum" oldnum does not equal new num. (!= means is not equal to in c and c++) games like quake2 use prediction to make the game run smoother. this error is saying that the prediction is WRONG. this happens when you experience a lot of packet loss or packet overflow.
