Hmm, well okay you won this match. Obviously blitZ isn't much of a tdm'er. He let you get away with just a TON of disorganized play. I'll do pluses/minuses for simplicity:

+ aggressive chain, sloppy and not paired with much active movement strat, but nevertheless great to whip that out in strategic spots
+ using rail angles and anticipation locations
+ changing up your pace and alternating between running and waiting -- helps to throw off the sounds-based player

- railspawn does NOT mean you go for rail. Listen first to spot opponent's location, then head for the megaroom to gather.
- corollary to above: Your primary goal dueling on dm1 is NOT to frag your opponent! Your number ONE priority is to control as much YA as possible and hit as many megas as possible. You frag your opponent as he gets in your way of your primary goal. (Also as your chain improves, you'll see why you want to TRY and whore cg as much as you can)
- another corollary says you don't give up the "high ground" so easily, i.e., you jump down from megaroom into arena too much for nothing. Get used to perching everywhere. When you're in control of some weaps, YA and mega, then listen to opponent's sounds and use both openings of megaroom to snipe and land predict rocks. That way you can monitor attempts at rg and know when he's using lift.
- last but definitely NOT LEAST: WTF is your rl??? You were lucky blitZ had some poor rox, otherwise he'd splash and chain that rg out of your hands! You simply will never progress in dm1 dueling using only hitscan weaps. Rockets push an opponent around the map and into your predict spots, as well as inhibit a rail-happy enemy. Not to mention the devestating splash you can inflict by hitting adjacent walls, overhangs and ceilings.
- what? another corollary to above?? Dude WTF is your ssg?? Not using ssg in dm1 dueling is exactly like NOT using your knights in chess. You may eventually beat some nubs with castles, bishops and the queen, but knights force an opponent into bad positions to set up your onslaught. Using ssg too in tight spots will force an opponent out of rhythm to gather health or armor.

DM server is fucked. 2 point blank rockets from spawn and lava damage and player survived? WTF?" Also someone has fucked with the spawn points, every single time no matter how big the map you spawn right in front of the person who killed you last
