I'm fairly new to JumpMod but not to Q2. I would like to install JumpMod and play it on my own server all by myself. I downloaded the files but am not sure where to extract them and how. I know there is a file for mappack, for the jumpmod 1.0 itself, and the server client, i'm not sure if i forgot some. Now if someone could help me out by tellin me where to extract and place each of these files, and where to go or what command line to use in order to start the mod, i would appreciate much.

Download the 0.84 version from wp, it has all the required files, except maps/textures/sound/env, which you download separately. There's a readme file in help folder aswell, which explains it in details. Only thing that isn't mentioned there, you need to replace 0.84 .dll (.so) with a newer one (1.0.x).

I downloaded all the files from Tastyspleen Downloads section that I could find in the Jumpmod section. I extract all of them to Quake2/jump directory ( by the way i could not find the help readme file that you are talking about Lohmatiy :/ ) I have a screen image of all the files downloaded, I am not sure if I miss some or not. or if I have to download them somewhere else than Tastyspleen download section? ) Now if I have all my files in the right place, I am not sure what command line to use to run jump, do i use set game jump or ...?) I have an icon q2jump, i tried launching jumpmod by clicking on it but when i enter the game, it does not look like jumpmod at all, just a regular game with a circle on my screen)...looks complicted

I dont know about starting quake as jumpmod but I do know that you can join a jumpmod server and just type in any map in console and play it using jumpmod.

you could also dl quake evolved, they have a menu of all of your mods and just click on it and you can play it.

You simply go to wireplay site, download the 1.0 version or 0.84. Ectract to your Quake2/jump, open quake 2, type set game jump, then gamemap 'map name'.
