What's the difference from someone using say_person to people who are on vent saying the same shit?  One can be proven, the other can't...I mean if they really want to, they can join vent and do the same shit and there is no way you can prove it.  If it bothers you guys that much, then get say_person removed from the server.  I mean, I understand it is pretty dumb, but what are you seriously going to do about it?  Get em muted, they get on vent...it still goes on /shrug,

The difference is, it's stupid to do it in such a way that it shows up on the server's logs.

Sure if people really want to, they can try and get away with using vent to spec and tell, but someone will catch on eventually and they'll get bant. (we don't require 100% incontrovertible proof to set a ban)

If they need so badly to win at something that they'd use vent and someone else's time just to cheat at rail pickups there will undoubtedly be some other signs to tip the admins off that things are fishy. (sound, their buddy always speccing during 1v1s against good players, etc..)


In this case, there's no need to worry about it escalating to illicit vent usage since it wasn't a team effort, and since the perpetrator admitted it and wont be able to connect to the server again.

I still fail to understand why people feel like they need to in anyway cheat at these games....I mean whats the purpose??? If you suck you know it...and if you need to cheat to make it look like you dont suck....you still suck! And its like....Its Just A Game! A Game People! Its not like there is any money involved when you win a match or anything, and if there was...then maybe I would understand people attempting to cheat, but there isn't...so whats the point.
Nobody Cares if so and so beat so and so...BFD people...
I get beat by people on a consistent basis and I have been playing for over 6 years!
Suck it up and have fun already....Geeze

BTW...if you play enough without cheating then maybe at some point you wouldn't suck as bad and maybe even get to be a moderately skilled player...

(I am in no way accusing anyone in particular of cheating...if you cheat, you know who you are....if you dont...you also know who you are...you cant lie to yourself.....)
