well,i have been playing quake 1 last night,and i liked the armor's that were in the game,so i tried using q2mdl911.zip from FileSource 1.1 website and fuckin,well,i converted the armor.mdl into and tris.md2,the ext that quake2 uses for models,and that works fine,but the problem im having is with the damn skins,hmm how to put it,its kinda like the game isnt recognizing the skins? idk anyways if u were to open up pak0.pak and delete the skins for e.x. body armor,it would turn out being a red/black multicolor MESS!!! This is wat im getting with my tris.md2(armor.mdl)not 2 sure wat to do,tried a few things any help appreciated.ive actually aded the armor pak as an attachment for anyone to fuck with,

first off, make sure you have the skin and model in the same folder in your baseq2/models/items/armor folder
this way the modelling util will get the right path to the skin when you set it.
now, in the model editor you have to tell it what skin to use..
bring up the skins window with F2, and delete the current skin.
add a new one and select the appropriate .pcx from the folder when it makes you browse for it.
now exit the skin window and export the .md2 and it should have the instructions on where to find the skin added to it.
hope that helps a bit.
