Yeah, very neat indeed.

Can anyone give me a detailed description of the installation and usability process?
For example,

what kind of stand-alone did you need to download?
what did you have to configure to stream your game?
what is the encoded format of the live stream? (flash, custom)?
does it support all games?


ADVANCED USERS:
sandbox in wireshark or [insert preferred network traffic monitor here],  paste the session.
give it a run through ollydbg, list the api calls.


I'm not able to do this myself because my OS is outdated.

Well, too much of that is over my head.  But....
 
As a user, anyone can just see you in xfire, see what game you are playing, and see that you are broadcasting.  To view the broadcast, you just click on the black box area, and it will open a web browser.  i use FireFox3 and it downloaded a plug, restarted, and then i was able to view and hear Death Stalker playing GT Legends.

As a broadcaster, it requires nothing.  You have the option to adjust the quality of the broadcast, and sound, etc in your xfire options.  You have nothing to download at all.  Just hit the keys Scroll Lock + V, and you are broadcasting to anyone who cares to watch.  People in your friends list can see you are broadcasting, or there is the xfire videos page, which lists all live broadcasts. 

It is incredibly simple, which is the best part of it.  Most previous methods have been more difficult.  i have yet to broadcast Quake2, i am looking forward to testing that.  In GT Legends, i drop from 65 fps to 16 to 24 which is borderline playable.  i can do it, but would not want to do it if i were in any race that mattered.  Q2 gets such high fps, i wonder how much it will drop.  However Q2 is WAY more fps dependant, so i can see how it may bug it up a bit.
