(Help) How to extract the files from a setup file without running it ?

I have downloaded the ,,SP Map Pack of the Month (12/02),, for the Sudden Strike 2 game from:
http://www.fileplanet.com/118731/110000/fileinfo/SP-Map-Pack-of-the-Month-(12/02
), wich adds more single player maps and i want to extract the files from the setup, because the setup installs only if the game is the 1.9 german version. And i have the 1.20 english version and is not working. The file is a HiS-Install SFX type, or at least this is shown on the setup.
If i want to run the setup, i run the Windows XP Mode from windows 7, but it will give me the setup unpack error.
Does any program exists for this problem ? I tried winzip and 7zip and it does not work, as is not a acceptable archive file.

You can use something like PE Explorer to assemble and disassemble .exe files, however such programs will probably be too difficult to use unless you have technical knowledge in programming.
I think your best solution is to find a Sudden Strike player who already has access to the maps and resource files from that map pack you want to install, and have him making you a zip folder with those files.

7ZIP probably would do it. Right click the exe and open with 7zip, after you install 7zip that is.
Hope it does the trick.
Cheers,

I don't worship the devil. Jesus is Lord, friend. He died for your sins. He will forgive you if you just ask.
