Hello, and welcome my friends. Today is a very very special day indeed, and that I can assure you that this is the single most important thread that you will have ever  read in your entire life. I'm offering a proposal for your inclusion and cooperation to change the world and revolutionize computing in ways never before thought possible.

In the midst of the Web 2.0 craze, countless companies are raising millions for their web applications, but yet these companies are only in it for the money, which usually means that they are looking to be bought out. It seems as if their is no real passion, no real drive to build something Great. Here's where you come in.

I'm currently looking for a potential co-founder of my web 2.0 company. I'm looking for someone who has real passion for programming and will help me build a great company. I have a few ideas on some useful web-applications, but i'm looking for another brainstormer to add his own thoughts on this matter as well.

If you're interested, I would like to see some of the work/projects you've done and/or been involved with. If you think I'm a kook, then just ignore this post.

Cool, I have one of these, myself. 

A project I've been thinking about for almost a decade... I've had the name for the technological core for about eight years now - context inference learning architecture.  CILA for short.

From my point of view, the ideas are the easy part... All the real work is in the implementation - particularly the coding.

I've started over on this project about five times now...  Hopefully I'll have something to show for it soon before somebody else beats me to it.

context inference learning architecture, the name sounds very very cool. I like it. You don't have to go into specific details on the public forums but is it a web application or standalone? I'm sure I'll be PMing you shortly...Wow, thinking of something for over a decade...must be something good.

There are "incubators" that help start-up companies with initial seed stage funding. Places like Y-combinator.com and myspace is coming out with one soon called slingshot labs. I'm going to apply for y-combinator next round. I've seen some of these schmucks raise anywhere between 10 - 26 million in venture capitial, and their prototypes(beta's) were  very very simple. I want to create a company that can create/send dvd's of subscripton content. So I have to talk to a lawyer, and it would probably have to be in another country.

Say you get a 5 day trial at X porn site.  Wouldn't it be nice to have all their shit on DVD, where you can access it anywhere?
do you want to buy my software .  I ran into this, uhmm, trying to do it, and I had create some scripts with wget, to get around the non-standard convention of these sites.  I've been thinking of this for a while.  It has its problems, like someone releasing the software for free.  but the software could be better, we could provide managed services, and already have a customer base.  Most of the problems are legal issues, like what the site says is ok.  but what does it matter if my nation says it's ok?  Not in a moral sense, but in the "can I run a business and not go to jail" sense.

who is quebix solutions and what is he saying about my company? quebix engineering is an engineering firm. I derived the name from the word quebit, which is essential for calculations in quantum computers.

On the other hand, a whois search indicates the domain name has been registered for a couple years, and that they have their own nameservers.  (Edit: Well... or maybe they just created DNS records for the nameservers they use, so nevermind I guess that may not imply anything interesting.)

All I am saying is for everyone on this not to be badly expressing anything on this site as all my domains worldwide have quebix. I have not copied anyone's property and I have documentation going back since 1998 for the Quebix name.  Yes I do open source (cheap web hosting) and web development and obviously have NS :-O, I am doing some new Web 2.0 projects so if you guys are looking to get started on something massive I would have open ears. I hope we can all get along and the two quebix based companies may be able to work together in future.

You need httrack. 

I don't think you'll find many nations that don't consider mailing people DVDs of third-party subscription websites a breach of copyright - hell, it's probably illegal now in the US to mirror such a site for your own use, or some similar nonsense.  Maybe if TPB were to successfully buy an island, you could set up there?   

Having a service whereby the sites can offer some sort of buy-our-site-content-on-DVD deal would probably be easier, but at that point you're just a publisher.

i'll test out httrack, but  I bet it runs into the same limitations as using wget.  the sites try to avoid being automatically copied.

mailing the dvd's is ideal, but a working copy for a subscriber is what i'm looking for
