Want to make a jump map out of q2dm1.  Is there an override which will allow me to "jump enable" it?  Is there a guide for making jump maps?

I'm wanting to make a jumpmod-type competition on q2dm1.  I've made Q2 maps before; but, don't know how to add areas/items/brushes/whatever to make a jump map.  An override sounds great -- to help keep the bsp as pure as possible.

I've attached the source map of q2dm1 if you need it. However, a backwards converted map always contains tiny cracks in brushes and messed up textures, the cracks will cause players to run up on invisible snags so those had to be fixed in this version. Still it's as original as you can get it.
As for overrides, you can only edit/add/remove entities like the items and elevators but you cannot do so with brushes and triggers. Now I don't you if Jump mod uses any special triggers, but if a weapon-pickup at the end is the only trigger used then it should be possible. If not and you need to make new (brush) triggers then you could add them to this source map and have an exact copy of dm1 but with those triggers.

What I really need is some advice on making a map a jump map.. did I just not search around well enough?

While I'm getting advice..  does jump allow way points to be different permutation orders?  In other words, you have to, say, pickup all items, but you can do so in any order?

I'm no expert, but I've not seen waypoints in jump.  The first weapon you reach ends the map.

I've seen jump maps where the designer added translucent walls to block exits and guide you along a particular path...  Other than being mildly unsightly, if such walls were added, one could even force a general route through the mega room.

Not as flexible as a waypoint system, but it could work...

I found dm1hard.   it has one wep,  and you need gl and rl to get thru everything to reach it.
