Mouse Question

ive come down to the conclusion that the reason im so much better at q3 than q2 is the mouse, im Q3 for some reason the mouth is smoothe and very sensitive, I noticed with q2 if I move the mouse slow enough I get next to no movement and its that movement that fine tunes my aim--so my question is how can I get my mouse to be as responsive as Q3?

1:

change your sensitivity a bit at a time, and play for a while to see if it's any different to you. (possibly higher, if you don't get enough movement out of it for your liking)

If my sensitivity isn't set higher than 5 or so, it feels like I have to make huge motions with the mouse to get a tiny effect on-screen.

I use 6.5, so that I can still whip it from here to there fairly quickly like a higher sensitivity, but still move it delicately for long shots like a lower one.. much higher and I can't hit shit from a distance. too much lower and I'm a mile behind a circling/strafing enemy.


2:

make sure you are using some form of mouse acceleration fix so the sensitivity and the effect of moving the mouse a certain distance, are consistent.

set m_directinput 1

I'm not sure how to fix it in other clients like EGL, 3.20, aprq2, because I don't use them often.
