any help?

Would it be possible if any of you could teach me some "tricks of the trade" as far as 1vs1 goes. I used to love playing this game mode but since i'm a newb again i've sort of forgotten some of the useful tactics used to win.(or at least stay close to my opponent)

Can we ban these bots in DM and other servers that just spam bad jokes non-stop? I tried to join earlier and it took me 15 minutes to get in because there were about 10 of them connected
