When the Tourney will kick-off,

Each MatchSet will have its own thread. It is an area for communications between the participants, and it is highly recommended to use that place, it will be easier for the Referees to judge/decide in peculiar cases. Put in there as much information as you can considering your Contact-process so as to exculpate yourself. Furthermore, Referees will be able to acknowledge their presence for a certain MatchSet when its Time/Date will have been set in the Thread.

That being said - you can contact your opponent by any means (if there is no response through the Forums). But what we require is that when your Match Time/Date is set - to immediately post it in your GameThread. That way a referee will answer and acknowledge his presence for that MatchSet.

Obviously, we will also coordinate referees so that there is always one of them on the Server, however, we cannot promise it - thus it is necessary to inform us of your Match Time through your GameThread.

OK, The tournament is completely booked. If for some reason you have to drop out, contact either me, Laurelin, or EyEsTrAiN ASAP so we can fill the spot. The first round of matches will be announced sometime tomorrow (Wed. June 8, 2005), and the first round of the Tournament will begin on Friday June 10, 2005.

Matches will be assigned randomly, and must be completed exactly one week from the start of the round. That means that the first round of matches MUST be completed by Friday, June 17, 2005, or else you will be disqualified. If for some reason you absolutely cannot schedule a match within a weeks time, talk to either me, Laurelin, or EyEsTrAiN (just join irc.gwar.net 6660 #insomnia) and we'll address the problem.

There will be a ref assigned to each match (if you said you would like to ref, you most likely will, if this is a problem, send a Private Message to either Me, Laurelin, or EyEsTrAiN). As soon as the matches are announced it is your duty to get in contact with the ref assigned to your match and your opponent and set up a time for the match to occur. If a ref is not present the match is not valid and must be re-played. Also, a demo of each match must be made or the match is invalid. All demos of matches must be saved until the ENTIRE TOURNAMENT is over. When you record your demos, label them in the following format:

<Player 1 Name>_<Player 2 name>_Round_Date

Each ref must retain a copy of the demo until the tournament is over.

One note about scheduling matches

MAKE YOU POST THE EXACT DATE AND TIME OF YOUR MATCH ON YOUR GAMETHREAD SO THAT A REF CAN BE ASSIGNED!

REMEMBER: If a ref is not present for a match, the match is invalid.
