block IP or just get in ffs

Okay..I got banned from this website for a accidental reason..I don't feel like explaining..But I got another account on a friends computer and I want to be able to log onto the site through my computer at home (the one that i got banned on) And I know that if I log in at home it will just ban me and my account again..Is there anyway around this? Blocking my IP addy or something? Help is much appreciated! Thanks!

Just to clarify, you mean you're banned from the forums somehow?  Or do you mean the servers?

If it's the forums, do you get any kind of error message?

basic answer..

You could resolve the problem by emailing the administrator of the site and suggesting how you will avoid/correct the behavior.

You could use a proxy web service to appear as another IP.

Using the account from your friend's machine, may or may not work, depending upon the ban being based upon IP or profile on the web site/service.

You can use a proxy to surf with... although its much slower (usually).

There are a few extentions for Firefox that do this.
