Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion

Ok so who's playing this?
I really like it, it has good graphics, story and gameplay.
Been playing for a few days now, I'm already level 9 and closed a couple Oblivion gates.
My only complaint is the map and journal system, you have to access them both through your menu and the map can't be resized. But that doesn't take away from the enjoyment of the game.
Anyway, here's a sunset behind the Imperial City.

Well, it might run ok if you turn all the eye candy off, but if you have an FX series nVidia card I've heard people were haveing problems with those.
Anyway, here's a Flame Atronarch.

My brother has it, and I'm going over to his place to check it out asap. He is out of the country atm, so haven't been able to check it out. Played daggerfall and morrowind, not much recently but love the games nonetheless. If it rocks, I'll be so jealous since I can't run it on this comp. It better suck!

Prepare to be jealous, because it doesn't suck.
All the dialog is spoken, and the voice acting is real good.
Patrick Stewart does the voice of the emporer. I found it kinda funny in the intro since he has a line that says "These are the days...", It sounded so much like the "These are the voyages..." line from Star Trek. But then I'm a dork.
Here's a pic of corpses in a Vampire den.

Oblivion rules! All ive done with it is watch my friend play it for a total of about ten hours,..
The landscape is amazing, You should get some pics of the forest that just look so real!
theres a mode where you can get rid of the hud info to take fullscreen pics.
My friend attacked some cave real early on, I saw he had conracted something.
Turned out to be vampirism. Took him like a week to work out of that problem.
but I think hes getting close to level 25 or so.
I remember in the 3rd one I got as far as level 52ish

All right, I'll get some forest pics when I'm playing later. I'll have to look that code up, I don't really like the HUD on my screenshots.
I've currently got Vampirism and I'm seeking the cure. I need to get five grand soul gems, if your friend knows of someone selling them please let me know. I'm planning on going to the different Mage Guilds to see if I can find some. It's a pain in the ass, because if you don't feed then you can't go out in the sun or you start to loose life.
Well, here's a funny story about what happened to me yesterday. I was riding along on my horse when a troll started chaseing me, it was gaining on me so I decided to get off the horse to fight it. Well the damn troll attacked my horse and it took off running, with the troll chasing behind it. They ran so fast that I lost track of them. Haven't seen my horse since. Poor horse.
Well here's a couple more screens,
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v418/sgm/Games/oblivion-2guys.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v418/sgm/Games/oblivion-gate.jpg
Edit:
Found this out earlier, apparently Bethesda was planning on haveing weman not wear bras. Someone who was going to make a mod for that discovered that the textures already existed. So here's a link to the unlock for this,

Yeah, was at my brothers place and watched it. It looks amazing! The landscape truly looks like a landscape, can even see distant cities and mountains from afar. The forest looks really nice too, with the grass and bushes and flowers along with trees that actually looks like real trees, and there are loads of them (not just one here and there). Happened quite often a wolf managed to suprise attack in the cover of the vegetation, which is nice. And the people looks way better than in for instance morrowind, especially the faces, with lip synced speech and so on.
And the weapons and spellcasting look awesome too (enchanted weapons casts light around you). Only thing is that everything looks somewhat the same (well, at least the cities he showed me), in Morrowind each region had it's distinctive look. Now the houses and castles just looks like houses and castles, allthough they look great nonetheless
What I think was the best is how the fighting is done now, much more fun fighting now than it was in morrowind where all you could do was click the mouse untill you hit. When you hit you hit, and when you block you block, it's just the skill that determines how much damage given/taken. Just things that will make it more fun to play in the long run I'd reckon. Oh, and the inventory is much better now too.
But seriously, if someone would wake me up from my sleep just to ask silly questions I wouldn't be all smiling and helpfull. I'd be furious and kicked them out of my house. And when I woke someone up, after I talked he started walking and went to sleep in another bed in another room?!?
Anyway, when I get a new comp I'll definitely buy the game. Not that I buy games often, but I want the elder scrolls to continue in the future
Yeah, there was nudity in daggerfall too

Playing it myself! And speaking of "myself",here is a cool post from elsewhere about making your character look like YOU!
The character creation system in Oblivion uses Face Gen. The reason you care about this is that you can get on their website and get a demo version of the product. With it and a couple of photos, it will create a beautiful model of your face.
http://www.facegen.com/
Instructions:
1: get a photo of you, a good headshot
2: start facegen
3: import your picture and write down where all the sliders are
4: close facegen, start oblivion and create a character using those slider settings.
Boom, YOU are in the game. happy
Or you could put in pictures of Chuck Norris and look like Chuck Norris.

I'll have to try that face gen thing sometime
I've decided to make a second character and play as a female thief. My first character is a male warrior, good guy, helping those in need and what not. I'll have to take pics of them later. I'll probably make a third and be a magic user and not rely on physical weapons.
Well, here's some screens without the hud.
Sunrise while traveling on the road,

I looked out over this field and thought it looked nice,
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v418/sgm/Games/oblivion-field.jpg
A little waterfall on some rocks,
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v418/sgm/Games/oblivion-waterfall.jpg
And a tree with white flowers on it,

To turn off the HUD press ~ for the console, then type TM. To re-enable the HUD type TM in the console again.

My specs:
AMD AthlonXP 3000+ 2.17GHz
2GB RAM
nVidia GeForce 6800 GS 256MB
I run it at the settings it auto detected, 1280 x 1024, with HDR, and no antialiasing.
It runs great, a little jittery at times, but I think that's because my motherboard only does 4x AGP. I unlocked some pixel pipelines on my card using Rivatuner and that seemed to help a bit.
