I think it was Slugs? or somebody that used to play on the tourney servers high, hopped up on cocaine I believe, and he would always play really well under those conditions.  I'd see people ask him if he was on it when his aim was particularly accurate and he's confirm.  I know coke has much more of an alert effect than pot though.  I don't get high so can't comment personally =)

any1 that does coke then plays video games is either a liar (most likely) or a total retard. Cocaine doesn't really even rob your sobriety either, it's just retarded. Numbs your nose/face up a little and jacks you up for a small time period. 40$ is pretty much the minimum price to pay for a gram, and every1 that I've ever met would always pay way more than me (60-70$). if you want to actually get down on it you need at least a half g to even get the pathetic numb/stimulation buzz that it gives u. The thought of wasting money for this, especially to play video games, makes me laugh. ;>

For the most part I have to agree that who ever blows lines while playing video games alone is totally a liar or down right pathetic. Coke is a social drug... who the fuck buys it to play games alone?

As for it not robbing your sobriety I'm not to sure about that. I does more then numbs my face when I get down with it. It's a stimulant... and it definitely effects how you think and feel. Perhaps that's what you mean by it 'jacking' you up. So many great things we know and love were produce from people high on cocaine, I'm pretty sure it wasn't a coincidence. As I have never played Q2 on coke I have played it plenty of times with 20 mg adderalls (my gf's prescription) and I will say it can effect how I play.

In the end I think it's just a matter of being focused or 'in the zone' that makes drugs/alcohol effect your playing in a good way. Where when I play sober I'm thinking about 100 different things as I play that have nothing to do with Quake...

ahh yes, that's what I meant by getting 'jacked up'. My bad if you weren't familiar w/ the term, i'm sure every1 calls it something different. Well, you aren't sober but other than feening for bong rips and cigarettes 10x more than usual. I'm able to act fairly straight, but then again no one acts totally straight when they're tweaking, they just think they are. I just consider myself to handle it better than most though, I guess. More so I meant that it wasn't an accomplishment to be able to play well while on it.

I also consider myself able to handle my shit (any shit) better then most, even alcohol. I am very reserved and I don't tend to let them effect me on the outside. I don't take drugs to get fucked up I use them for 'thinking'... The best part of being high (on anything) for me is the way it manipulates your mind and harnessing what I learned, thus why my drug of choice is defiantly mushrooms. When I started smoking pot many years ago the idea of smoking it for me was the same but eventually it grew into the norm which is pretty much why I quit when I turned 23. Not because I was to fucked up or addicted but because it became boring.

Thats the same reason that I've cut back to only smoking in the evenings, unless it's the weekend and I have shit else to do.

I found that wake-n-baking was just making me more tired and not actually getting me any of the enjoyable feeling that it used to. I just get bored and want to go back to bed and lay in the warm covers, if I smoke herb in the morning now.


I can kinda confirm the blow+video games = decent aim thing above..

I used to play CS at a nearby LAN cafe with a couple of my high school buddies, and we'd stop in at 1 or 2 in the morning, all coked out of our gourds, and tear people up on it.
I wouldn't want to sit by myself and get coked out and play, but if you've got the right company and the right setup, it can actually be plausible, and rather fun, if you like wasting that much money on being numb...

On a natural high subject,  I think somtimes that perfect rail or direct wall air rocket shot can give you a burst
of endorphines.   Smoking while play is great,  but sometime you need to zone clean.  Not much point to the game if you
HAVE to be buzzed to play.

haha nah actually i'm here to stay reflex. Surprisingly I have an 'excellent' wireless signal strength to steal, unlike the last time I lived here. once my new laptop keyboard comes in (spilt beer on it, again) i should be back in action.. it was supposed to be in today but dell sucks.

Never even tried coke, watched my friends do enough of it to know after 3 days of being up and being half dead I don't want to    weed and the drink is enough to get me crazy (why would anyone wanna be more fucked up than that?)  not downing anyone for doing it because again alot of my close friends do coke and have a blast on it--im just content with what I use.   Weed does wonders for me when playing (yes I know I still have to post the demos, but when I get baked I usually forget to record, LOL) like yesterday...I played ah! on chastity (keep in mind playboy usually beats me like 30-0) well I gave em a game...game ended 8 to 5 his win...which is fucking amazing when you consider im used to losing by 30-0 to this guy.

i like this....my experience:

ive played coked up before and it was great....haunted is right in that the effect is often fleeting so a couple bumps here and there are a must...the concentration achieved is very pleasing but no where the magnitude of playing while on adderall.....if you have never tried it you are missing out....while on adderall you can maintain crazy concentration for hours, no lie.....but of course my favorite (hence my name) is playing while stoned.....playing while smoking trumps all the above easily, for me at least due in part to its uncanny ability to increase and expand my imagination.....i cant explain it really well its just a calm feeling maybe haunted can put it into words better but yea...i love drugs
