avatar in the quake2 pallate

i was wondering if anyone could help me convert my avatar that im currently using into the quake2 pallate to be used as an icon for my skin
i tried it myself, but it messed up

probably with a program like adobe photoshop or gimp.. he just converted it to pcx

yeah, I used Paintshop Pro.

Resize your pic to the correct size and then just import the q2pallete and then save as a pcx.

more difficult than i thought.. thx

yeah I remember when I used to edit skins, using PSP 4, I had to make sure that the .pcx files were also Version 5 in order for them to come out correctly.
