* +realistic slaps haunted around a bit with a large trout
<@haunted> the control on ztn3 is largely dependent on ping, although it can be played with higher ping just fine
<@haunted> but q2duel5 was only meant to be played on lower ping
<@haunted> like, 15 v. 15
<@haunted> need to get your movement down
<@haunted> looks like your putting too much conscious effort into moving without strafing.. moving like that is fine, but you have to be accurate with it and it also has to be SUBconsciously
<@haunted> have to have your tech skill down before you can be truly mindful of other things.. way more opportunities, way more angles, way more options
<@haunted> other than that, just weapon choice and your decision making with which items to control
<@haunted> sorry if you were searching for less-basic advice, but those are the things that stick out to me
<@haunted> it's best to look at this stuff in a generalized way, where everything is circumstantial

I chose to respond in IRC instead of here, but you left and I'm not sure if you saw what I said.

it's usually the basics and/or not recognizing subtleties that people need to work on... i.e. recognizing the importance of something due to the situation, when typically it's not too important.

Chances are you might be playing better due to playing less risky by relying less on your aim, and by choosing more optimal positioning and times to attack.

I think though you should try playing a real Q2 Aussie player, if you want to measure this sort of skill of yours. I've played against that player who is in your demos. I think he's new to Q2 because he doesn't know how to play Q2, let alone duel.
