Does nubcake know every map?

so apparently nubcake knows the regular dm maps and has them memorized down to the last pebble in the wall.

apparently theres a new set of maps with an R that no one has heard of and i dont even know what theyre called

example: q2dm1 normal
new: q2Rdm1 - ?

So i been trying to play him on new maps where he doesnt have everything memorized and he claims he doesnt know them but i wonder if hes bsing. every map he plays he knows where the armor and mega health is and just runs back n forth between them like a jackass with his rail and acts like hes good lol.

have you guys previously played with him on these "R" maps?

does he know every map?

q2rdm2 was made in early 2006 by jalisko, it's not an old map.

they were likely all made on different years

no one plays rdm maps other than 1 2 and 7 on tourney

and the ones i beat you on... yeah, didnt know em

but rdm2 is my favorite, and that easily explains why you still lost by over 20 when i turned my sound off...

The 15 q2rdm maps are part of a collection, called the Q2 Revival Map Pack. I'm assuming the R stands for revival.

The Quake2Revival Map Pack was compiled to bring different variations of gameplay to the community.  Those who took part in the compilation and playtesting felt that the Quake 2 Scene would greatly appreciate new maps.

Individual .txt files on each level can be found within the pak.  You may obtain them with programs such as QPED (http://www.planetquake.com/qped/) or any other Quake 2 Pak explorer. 

First off I'd like to thank our playtesters who took the time to play through hundreds of maps as well as give in-depth reviews of their gameplay.  These people contribuited with the playtesting of all entrees into the Quake2Revival Map Pack:

Myself, raija, bRiX, Vai, Everkill, Rigg5, Shells, Whiplash, Luci, uNiTy, Trip.

On a final note, I hope that this map pack is widely accepted around the world as a somewhat 'official' map pack release.  Record some demos and post them on http://www.quake2revival.com once it becomes available to show what various tricks and strategies you've found on the new maps to other players within the community.

One last side note..  Q2RDM5 does not have a single player spawn point, and only works when you start a server or join one.

Yes, jalisko released that map as q2jalt2 in '01, final version late '01/'02 after some changes. Hehe I think I'm one of the few old mappers left that walked around in the beta versions of rdm2, without the small odd floating platform! Funny thing is at the time nobody had any clue that it would become a classic duel map and even a couple years went by before finally some of the ClanBase and EDL dudes got ahold of it and recognized its potential. Was around the time when there was a lot more activity in the mapping scene with sites like Musahi's Maps, The Big House (reviews) and Planetquake LotW. I also knew many of the mappers back in the day, guys like kanaeda, g1zmo, headshot, trebz, jalisko, ven, musashi, maric and lots more. Damn..!

rdm2 is a classic and just about the only rdm map worth dueling on.... though some of the others are possible to duel on, they each have their own quirk why it just isn't worth playing them in 1v1

at least the ones I have seen... rdm7 works fine, but it isn't as good as rdm2 imo

aside from rdm maps, I found out the ts servers don't have the q2duel* maps only q2duel1 far as i know... i only know q2duel1 is aerowalk and q2duel8 is ztn2dm3, would have liked to check out the other ones
