Choosing a video card just for Quake 2

I am looking for a cheap video card. I don't want some expensive crap! What's bringing my game down is having to play on a small screen so the graphics won't be choppy. I just want a simple graphics card that can run quake 2 smoothly. I have an aspect ratio of 16:9(1920 X 1080) Widescreen 22 inch.
Windows Vista Home Premium
Dell Inspiron (Desktop PC)
Video Card: Intel(R) G33/G31 Express Chipset Family <--------OVER HERE!!!
Intel Core 2 Duo CPU E7500 @ 2.80 GHz 2.80 GHz
Memory (RAM) 6:00 GB
System type: 64-bit Operating System
Is there anything out there that is cheap?

you can probably get a 250gts for 100 bucks these days.
an nvidia 9500gt would rock q2 as well and probably only run you approx 80 USD

do whatever you want, buying a video card is a good idea. the only part that sounds funny is the "for q2" part.
but... what is choppy about your gfx? my specs are exponentially worse than yours, although i use xp and not vista, yet i timerefresh mid 200s usually...
clean all the dust out of the inside, fresh install of win xp 64 bit, then a fresh q2starter install and i bet q2 would be running fine for you.

I guess this is the part 2 in the 'Choosing a video card just for Quake 2' series. Since my Desktop sucks for gaming. And I only wanted a simple video card. A couple of things came to mind when speaking to Quadz on irc right now.
Based on this, I have a (
Dell Inspiron 530
)
I have a 300 watt power supply
It has PCI Express 1.0A
So where does this leave me to buy a video card? Which one would work on my system without messing it up. I'm gambling with my PC's life right about now
I suppose it would probably cost less than $50 than?
Specs:
Windows Vista Home Premium
Dell Inspiron (Desktop PC)

I might consider playing something else aside from Quake 2, but nothing too extreme like Crysis

Hit me up in IRC escher... #nadl "haunted/jesse". If you want, I can walk you through what I was mentioning earlier(if you want decent fps without a video card).

I don't worship the devil. Jesus is Lord, friend. He died for your sins. He will forgive you if you just ask.
