It's really not surprising to me, and in fact I wonder why it even makes the fucking news at all. Shit like that happens a lot more than you hear about. The people running lockups don't really give a fuck. They lose track of who is kept where. Sometimes in county lockup, they'll dress out simple misdemeanor inmates who are probably not gonna be there more than a day or two and end up sticking them in with the animals who are there awaiting a local trial for shit like murder and rape. And the only time they'll realize they fucked up and put them in the wrong cell block will be when the bondsman comes to bond them out, and by then they've already had their asses kicked 10 times. You'd think that jails and prisons would be shining examples of security and following protocol, but... no. Not at all. Hell, last time I got locked up in Walton County GA, they actually LOST my ID and my tickets/paperwork. It's fucking ridiculous. It's a fucking jail! The whole building is painstakingly designed to keep potentially dangerous people from disappearing from the premises, yet they can't keep an item which doesn't even HAVE legs and the ability to move on its own from disappearing into thin air. All because of their fuckup, I was one month later getting off probation than I should've been due to the fact that my court date got pushed back another month in order for those stupid assholes to get the state trooper who arrested me to REwrite the citations and court reports or whatever. LUCKILY it was a state trooper that picked me up and not one of their local deputies, otherwise the local deputy probably would've lost the carbon copies off the originals.

 In reality though, that is pretty scary to be in prison with a bunch of animals like that. I wouldn't ever want to be caught in any cell with anyone.

What pisses me off though, is forgetting about this kid who got locked up in a cell, and then 5 days later they open the door and say "oh hey, sorry buddy, we forgot about you "

Just so he can come out with the look on his face And have medical problems after he leaves. It sucks. But I guess once you're arrested, you're kinda fucked. And that goes for me too

In another ironic twist, while the cell didn't have a toilet, or food, or water... it did apparently have methamphetamine.

Chong claims the holding cells were filthy, and used a bag of what was later determined to be methamphetamines he found inside to stay awake.

Drugs can't even be kept out of maximum security prisons, yet there are those who still believe they can be eradicated from our whole country if we just spend more money, lock up more people for longer periods of time, and add more and more 'drug exceptions' to the US Constitution.
