quake2world dedicated server setup help

hi i need help in running a quake2world server

has ne 1 got a sample config file they can post here
ive got the hostname working
but i dont know how to set fraglimit timelimit and maxclients
ive tried a few things but they maxclients is always 8

Hi there,

We're actually not encouraging public dedicated servers during the beta, for a couple of reasons:

1) The player base will likely be quite small, so we'd rather not fragment it by having a dozen empty servers.
2) The game is updated regularly, and keeping the servers up to date will require keeping tabs on our Subversion repository.

But that said, if you still want to run one, you can do something like:

quake2world +set dedicated 1 +set sv_max_clients 16

There is a bug where sv_max_clients is not correctly re-read by the game module when changed. Setting it from the command line works. This will be fixed soon..
