Way to not draw hud in r1q2?

how do you not draw the hud in r1q2? and is there a way to do that and still keep chat messages on screen?

You could do that with this pak, which was made for taking clean screenies:

You would probably want to alter it remove any of the stuff in the pics folder that you WANT to see, as it consists of a bunch of replacement hud images that are made up 100% of the q2 transparent color (that fugly pink)

I'd say removing the conchars.pcx would do the trick to keep chat/scores onscreen and nothing else.
