help with quake

I tried get to server, but every time I cannot stay 5 seconds and disconnects. I have evolved quake2 and worked before but now no. If I have NoCheat works fine before, but after I put evolved no. I like evolved quake2 because looks good.
I delete quake2 and put new quake2 and install patch 3.20 and everything then put evolved on it.
Now I have nocheat and evolved in quake2 now, but it connects with evolved and not work, so I have nocheat but nocheat isnt look good.

I am dont know how the problem is to fix, I like evolved a lot.

• Are there any error type messages before (or after) it disconnects you?
• Do any servers allow you to connect?

I don't know how familiar you are with Quake 2, but I would do a "condump" if it doesn't work, then post it. Lots of Q2 experts here

I played quake for almost three years. I connect to server and then I disconnect and I dont have problems with nocheat. I post a condumb here. I test on vanilla servers and I get invalid name I try Mage Warehouse and I disconnect and AW Railz same. I dont know what is wrong I tried quake2max and it works and other quake2 clientsm, but quake2evolved is the only one who is bad.

It seems "quake2evolved" doesn't respond properly to q2admin's bot detection.

Unless they fix "quake2evolved", it's not going to be much good on very many servers out there. 

Sorry...  Hope you can find a different client you like.

That is not good. What clients are look nice you recommend?

Besides Q2 Evolved, Q2Max is the "best" looking client out there.  (that I know of  )

Isn't Q2E based on the q3A engine?

And doesn't it specifically say in the readme that it does not work in multiplayer yet?

I am asking that as a question because I don't have the readme's for my client installs anymore. Can you verify?

I did not read the readme, sorry. But yes is almost same as quake3.

other than that,  q2a has a very nice look,  can do alot with lighting and such.
but mouse movements a lil off for me....
