quakelive models and sounds

i was wanting to know, if i was to use the plasma gun as the hyperblaster in q2 will that come up as a failed file on ac? if not could someone give me the file plaus the sound for it too? also i would like to know where i could get the grenade sound from quakelive? fader did send me a sound file but i am not sure it is the one i want. i am after the sound in this video at 2:26 when he spam the nade down

try it in AC 1 server and then in a AC 2 server.
my pak only works in AC 1 servers, in AC 2 it fails and i have to remove it.
for example, it works in TS and IRTDM servers but i get kicked in DF servers.

that doesnt have anything to do with it :)

as far as anticheat is set up, irtdm and the digitalfrag servers are essentially the same... the only difference is the digitalfrag servers use a weird as fuck hash list so you get kicked for stupid shit :/ irtdm has a still secure but more lenient hash list...

@alpha generally speaking modifying models will be a bad thing as far as anticheat is concerned because they are .md3's in quake3 arent they? irtdm will drop you for any of that .md3 shit

PLUS you can get all the quakelive files any time you want... install quakelive and go dig them out of the pak files on your system

i actually just downloaded the q3 demo and have got the pak file and i have puuled the sounds i want, but just placing the md3 files in doesn't change the model. I don't think i would get kicked for a .dm3 plasma gun on irtdm cause i am pretty sure derv only kicks for .md3 player models, and seeing there is no hyper in railz, i doubt i would get kicked for using the plasma as a hyperblaster, but i could be wrong

you need to change a cvar for the md3 files to actually be used... and THAT is what gets you kicked

if the files are in .md3 format they won't make it in at all.

if they are converted to .md2 using a 3d editor they will work on most of TS, but they will show as modified on AC servers, which will generate a kick on my servers (on TS it just reports)
