Mouse Problems
« on: December 19, 2010, 10:30:18 AM »
Got a new mouse (Razer Naga) a while back and tried to play q2 with it.

The cursor seems to jump around or get stuck whenever I lift off the pad, or even at random intervals shooting around. I tried switching out to my older mouse, but even that seems to be experiencing a lack of tracking and jumpiness.

I tried dicking around with m_filter and some of the r1q2 settings regarding mice but with very limited success. Additionally, I don't feel this problem when browsing my desktop or playing other games. (All other games seem fine to my knowledge.)

Any help is appreciated.

I was having similar issues with a Razer Copperhead.  I realized that one of my buttons (Mouse 4) was set to toggle sensitivity between 400 and 1600 DPI (Sensitivity on the fly).  It was a button that I frequently hit as my thumb naturally rests there.

Not sure if it could be something similar but it's worth a try.

Maybe try lowering your sensitivity in the control panel, or leave it higher but try a much lower sensitivity in the game?

I use 400 DPI, 6.666 sensitivity in game, m_filter 0.

With 1600 DPI in control panel, I had to lower my in game sensitivity significantly because 1600 dpi was way faster for me.

DM server is fucked. 2 point blank rockets from spawn and lava damage and player survived? WTF?" Also someone has fucked with the spawn points, every single time no matter how big the map you spawn right in front of the person who killed you last
