I've always been a big fan of Patton (I just love his voice) and Faith no more, does that count?. Never really got into Bungle and Peeping tom (yet) but it sure is a style of its own

Definitely an acquired taste. But they're good. They know what they're doing - it's not just random bits thrown together. Has a bit of Zappa in there and maybe a touch of Mr Krinkle from Primus.
