Rip off of the Force Unleashed submitted for the recent speed modding session. Here's a demo of how fun it is to mess with. I'll work on having a stable release but for right now here's a demo.

Cool.
I've pondered modding the BFG to work like the gravity gun in Half Life 2.
Pretty similar to your demo as far as the throw, but much speedier on the pull...

Nice effect.
Similar to LOX's push/pull tractor beam but the grab and throw adds some nice sadism to the effect. I especially love the idea of tossing them onto other players for a double frag.

Yeah the idea was to have that all bound to the mouse wheel, which makes it really fun to mess with.
Only problem is that I lost the source THE VERY NEXT DAY after i submitted it to the speed mod competition due to harddrive failure.
But most of the changes are incredibly simple. Basically the player had an extra "force control" ent that would point to who he was holding, the person being held would point to the player holding it as well as a "timer". The timer entity would add velocity to the entity being controlled by the force based on the player's force values every time that it reached it's nexthink which was recursively set to level.time + 0.1.
Prety standard stuff, not unlike how the BFG laser works.
The most time consuming aspect is bug fixing all of this, because if you delete the timer, then accidently have the monster check for it's timer then CRASH!!!! So the whole concept is very bug prone and takes a long time to work out the kinks.
