This command works great for TDM because often there aren't many players. However every single I time I have used it, and I am talking the last 20 times, it says try again in 2 minutes. Is this because i'm typing it in console vs a say command, or because someone used to earlier?

Did you wait 2 minutes and try again?

It can only be used once every 5 minutes (per server).

Sometimes I think that this limit should be shortened to 2 minutes because people use it to harass wifiman and whatnot, and it's hard to use a good comeback when you have to wait 5 minutes between communications.

I mean invite was obviously only invented for the purpose of one liners!

Well what I mean is since it always says that, it ends up not ever working - even if I try again.

I've used it on a TDM server, and it appeared not to work, so I try it again and says to wait..

Couldn't figure it out till someone pointed out it shows up in mm2

It started out at 2 minutes.... which indeed fostered a substantial amount of smack talk back and forth across the invite system.

I found a lot of it funny, but I also got complaints from players who found it all too distracting while fragging.

When I started getting people asking for a way to "turn invites off", I raised the interval from 2 minutes to 5 minutes. Seems to have helped cut down on the spam.
