maybe it's not new, just a twist on a known jump, but I don't think i've seen it anywhere before.

Watched it.. If you mean the first jump, dj to the boxes, then it's not really new sadly. It's like you say a variation, one of the many to get to mh. But the most used is still to go to ya first, that's why u don't see it so often like this.

yeah I know you see the jump sometimes, but if you look I'm not hitting the top of the box platform.  I think most of the time people do some kind of circle and jump hitting the top of the boxes, so it's a fluid motion.  In this I hit the second little box, I guess people have done it before.

 

I see purri, and some players here, regulary use that jump to the middle set of boxes via the top of the first platform , just haven't seen it from the second little box up.

i've seen variations of this jump, but you made it a lil more pronounced on the leftstrafe off the box and it still made it up there, so props! it looked nifty.

It's a double jump on the second box to the boxes at ammo pack.

Certainly seems like a lot more than just a simple double jump. But then again, you're talking to somebody who spends as much time flying on a hook as he does running on the ground. With the hook, I really haven't learned how to jump. Reaper-- anyway!

BTW, how do you jump straight from the top ammo box to the mega?

aim your mouse a little right of the box, advance to the very corner of the box smoothly and jump while curvin the mouse towards the leading corner of the mega box and holdin leftstrafe thru the jump.

or you can do it the exact opposite way. either works depending on how you got to the top of the crate.

I think daelmun made some tutorials on the dm1 jumps that you can check out. they're in this forum somewhere.

Yeah reap I've done this one countless times. But man I gotta say, you seem to have improved on your game somewhat just from what I see in your general movement. I had to say something because it was like you hit a plateau and couldn't improve much for how long you have played (no offense, i'm still trying to give you a compliment!..and i've known and played with you for quite some time and i'm just glad if you're stepping it up :> )

Now I will watch a demo, and be like, oh..there I gave the rail away, or that's where he got rail, or what is going on here.   I guess I will speed it up a bit, and I watched some damiah and purri demos, gotta try out a few new tricks ;p
